OPPORTUNITIES: Glassbooth Organization Internship -- Deadline April 1
The Glassbooth Organization, a nonprofit located in Cambridge, MA, is currently accepting applications for summer internships. Glassbooth was founded to create innovative ways for voters to engage political information and opportunities.
The first tool of our organization -- glassbooth.org -- has received critical acclaim since its launch in November, appearing in the NYTimes, Wired, the CBS Evening News and was ranked the "#1 Political Website of 2008" by CNet. The internship opportunity would give students a chance to participate as an integral team member in the organizational expansion and 15-pilot state rollout of the organization. That is to say that this is not a "get me coffee and bagels" internship. As an organization founded by four 24-year-olds, Glassbooth understands the importance of gaining practical experience in a variety of fields -- which is what these internships offer.
Applicants should possess strong writing and communication skills, an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to work independently. Applicants must have a passion for the mission of the organization, but do not necessarily need to be politically rabid. Experience in the fields of public relations, research or political science are preferred but not mandatory. Candidates from all disciplinary backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
- Duration: Summer
- Hours: Full time
- Duties: At Glassbooth all team members are involved with every aspect of the organization. As such, applicants should expect every day to be different. From managing partnerships with Fortune 100 companies to researching candidate positions, applicants will be expected to participate in a wide range of daily activities.
- Compensation: Unpaid. Although, school credit can be obtained upon the request of the applicant.
Applicants should send their resume and a brief cover letter to Megan Brinster at brinster@glassbooth.org.
