OPPORTUNITIES: Town of Lexington, Massachusetts Management Internship
Lexington’s Management Intern Program has a year-long position available to individuals pursuing a leadership career in local government who have excellent analytical, technology, and written and oral communication skills.
Municipal government projects will involve working with staff in multiple departments, interaction with boards and committees, and guidance from senior management. Typical projects include operating and capital budget development, economic development research, human resources and benefits analysis, salary surveys, maintaining the Town’s employee intranet, and strategic operations planning.
Preferred minimum qualifications: completed coursework required for MPA/MBA, undergraduate degree in public administration, business administration, political science or economics, from accredited college or university. Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Salary $35-40,000, negotiable DOQ/E.
