OPPORTUNITIES: The Massachusetts Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration Opens Award Nomination Period - Deadline March 17
MassASPA (Massachusetts Chapter – American Society for Public Administration) annually presents two awards, the Distinguished Citizen Award and the Distinguished Public Administrator Award, at its annual dinner meeting. The purpose of the awards is to recognize dedication and excellence in public and non-profit service.
Distinguished Citizen Award
The Distinguished Citizen Award is presented to an individual who is recognized as an outstanding leader/contributor in his/her own field, whose contributions have benefited the citizens of Massachusetts, and who has demonstrated long-term support for public service in his/her professional capacity and personal efforts.
Distinguished Public Administrator
The Distinguished Public Administrator Award is presented to an individual who is acknowledged as a results-oriented leader and whose contributions may encompass individual exemplary accomplishment or a long-standing series of achievements in public service.
You can nominate someone for either of these awards by downloading the nomination form available on the MassASPA website. The awards will be presented at the chapter's annual meeting on May 6, 2008. Nominations are due by March 17, 2008.
Neither the nominator nor the nominee is required to be an ASPA member.
