Dukakis Dinner - November 2008
In November 2008, approximately 1,000 friends and supporters gathered for a Tribute Dinner to celebrate the public service of Kitty and Michael Dukakis, and the renaming of the Center for Urban and Regional Policy in their honor.
Michael and Kitty Dukakis, as individuals and together, personify the meaning of progressive, compassionate public service. We are proud to have the Center named in honor of such exemplary and devoted leaders.
The Dukakis Center for Urban & Regional Policy is a "think and do tank" where faculty, staff, students, and partners pool their expertise, resources, and energy to address the most pressing issues facing cities in Greater Boston and beyond. The Center, a national leader in urban policy, is currently working on projects in the areas of housing, workforce development, community economic development, state/local governance, transportation, and more. These projects operate through collaboration with many partners to develop and implement innovative policies and new practices to improve civic life.
