Welcome to the School of Social Science, Urban Affairs, and Public Policy. The School encompasses seven social science departments and interdisciplinary degree programs as well as an array of research centers and institutes. Our overarching mission is to bring together the best in social science theory, empirical analysis, and public policy research to address pressing societal problems--whether close to home or across the globe--and, through a unique partnership with the NU School of Journalism, to better inform public discourse on these issues.
